Good news everybody! We’ll be done with our book in a couple months!
As this school year has gone on, I’ve realized something. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try on a story, essay, review, or whatever it might be, you won’t be happy with how it turned out. Everybody writing blogs here does regular peer editing with each other, and almost every single session one of us will look around and say, “Guys, I’m so sorry for what you’re about to read,” or something along those lines. It’s never a really serious comment, but it’s obvious that whatever we wrote didn’t meet our expectations that we initially had created for it.
An interesting prompt came up in our English class the other day as we had to discuss on the following: If you found out that you would lose your memory every five minutes, what would you have tattooed on your body to help you remember what you had previously known? Before you continue reading, stop and think for a moment…what would you have tattooed on your body to remind yourself of who you are.
“…and they lived happily ever after.”
How many times have you ever stumbled across books with the same ending. How many times have you read a story about a hero overcoming the odds? How many times have you come across a story that ended with a cliffhanger? These my friends are cliché endings. Continue reading

Hi everybody! My name is Chris, I won the grueling rock-paper-scissors tournament that we had a couple weeks ago and that’s why I’m blogging last.
I’ll be doing all things technology for this group which for now will just be managing this website and I’ll be writing our book with the rest of the group as well. Hopefully, my job will expand to other things as we progress through the different stages of publishing our book.
What I Want to Do With Our Book
To be honest, I’d never really considered writing a book until now. I guess that’s why it’s so exciting! We’re all still not entirely sure what we’re going to write about, but we have a couple ideas bouncing back and forth between us. I hope that these blog posts and updates will both inform and inspire people, whether they’re high school students like us, or adults. Maybe some of you will decide to pursue your passion in creative work like we are.
