“Happy Lunar New Year” aka “Chúc Mừng Năm Mới” aka “Gong Xi Gong Xi” or however you want to say it and whichever language you want to say it, tis the season of Chinese New Year and you know what that means right? Red envelopes, fireworks, “cleaning up” etc., these are some of the traditional components that make up the the Chinese culture that we know today. But why are these traditions so significant and why are they celebrated they way they are?
