Valentines Day is just around the corner and you know what that means right? Stress. Some of you may have already crossed your Valentine gift off your to-do list, but there are always those many who are currently reading this, while scratching their head in utter confusion and desperation of what the ideal Valentine gift for their significant other should be. Well fear no more for I have come up with a Valentine cramming solution guide.
First and foremost, if you have already made the mistake of procrastinating, DO NOT PANIC. Whether you’re reading this a few days prior or the night before, there are always simple and charming gifts available. You can always find roses at your nearest bouquet store and find a Valentine card or chocolates at a local store (or even better, CREATE your own card and make it original). These gifts may not be jaw dropping or anything extreme, but its simplicity can get the job done.
Remember, it doesn’t matter how expensive your gift is, its just the thought of giving and most importantly giving it from the heart, is what’s most significant. Yes, you may have forgotten or you may have waited last minute, but desperate times calls for desperate measures. If you really want to give your significant other what he/she dreams of, then learn from this experience and plan it out better next year. But remember that a simple card with flowers is not a shabby backup plan.
In my opinion, a great gift that you can give anyone is experience. Now what do I mean by experience? This means taking your significant other someplace or somewhere that they’ve never done or been before. For example, you can take your partner to a concert, an amusement park, or a flight across the world etc. Take him/her to someplace that he/she has never been before like maybe skating or do someone together like trying out a new fancy restaurant that just opened. The big picture is to give him or her an experience that they will remember. Experiences create memories, and those are the best gifts.
Just keep in mind that one gift will not define or determine your relationship in any way. Yes, your partner may be happier if you give them luxurious gift, but at the end of the day, love is the best gift one can possibly get, and that is not defined by the price tag on a gift.
